Saudia Airlines previously known as Saudi Arabian Airlines is the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia and is based in Jeddah. The airline was founded in 1945 as Saudi Arabian Airlines. It started with just one aircraft, the Douglas DC-3 which was gifted by President Franklin Roosevelt to King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud. It has grown to be the third-largest airline in the Middle East.
